Serving Danville, Martinsville and the counties of Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania, the Virginia Career Works West Piedmont Region (VCWWPR), in partnership with the region’s local elected officials, provides leadership and direction to determine how best to deliver workforce services for the region.
The VCWWPR also designates One Stop Operators to deliver these defined workforce services. There are three locations in the region.
Members of the VCWWPR are appointed by the Chief Elected Official of their respective city/county in accordance with criteria established by the Governor. VCWWPR membership includes representatives from business and industry, education agencies, community-based organizations, economic development agencies, public employment services, public assistance agencies, vocational rehabilitation, and labor organizations.
